For 20 years, Patrick Badot organized language courses in Great Britain. In 1991, he decided to make a full time job of his hobby and started Minidelta offering a small range of 1/43rd built-up models. Very soon, he focused on little runs of limited 1/43rd hand built models and on the building of very detailed AMR, Renaissance, Marsh Models, Tameo or Provence Moulage 1/43th kits for a very limited number of selected customers.

In 1995, thanks to Grand Prix Models, Minidelta was commissioned by Car Graphic, the Japanese magazine, to create a diorama celebrating the 40th anniversary of Stirling Moss’ 1955 Mille Miglia win. This was the starting point of a new company, L’Eau Rouge, a partnership between Patrick Badot and André Fernemont, who is the creator of the base for that diorama.

Nowadays L’Eau Rouge produces a very large and varied range of 1/43rd, 1/24th and 1/18th scale bases for diorama. (see www.leaurouge.be)From 1995 to 2001, Minidelta has been running on a minor mode, but since 1991, the rythm has been back to normal and the company has opened up to new ranges of models. In 2003 the friendship between Patrice de Conto and Patrick Badot led him to produce 1/8th and 1/12th scale models.
